Happy Dollars
This week, while we were all thankful for the Thanksgiving holiday, Club members were happy for: Karen Dennis was happy for a new assistant and the return of her bookkeeper from maternity leave and also the two free MYAC concerts on Sunday, December 13th at Ravinia's Bennett Gordon Hall at 1:30 p.m. and again at 3:30 p.m.;  Sheri Hammond was happy for having her sons home for the holiday and being with friends;  Mike Mills was happy to tell us what we get when you cross a guitar and a turkey - I'll let him tell you when you see him! Dale Mugler was happy his granddaughter, a 4th grader at Braeside was excited for the announcement that the school was a Blue Ribbon school and the students got to watch the presentation on Zoom; Len Tenner was happy for the 7 days he spent in LA (sporting a tan) and visiting his daughter;  Doris Xie was happy because she has been helping Sandra with a few forms and they are almost done; Mike Lubelfeld was thankful for the holiday, the new plans for the district and his son's football season; Eric Ephraim was also thankful for his son's football season because despite the broken leg early on, he was a co-winner of the "Giant Award" given by the HPHS varsity football team; Ghida Neukirch reminded us to shop local and that every Saturday from Thanksgiving until Christmas, in Port Clinton Square from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., shoppers can enjoy festive entertainment, delicious treats, hot chocolate and more while you browse , shop and dine in the HP's Central Business District establishments. Ravinia Brewing Company will also have cider and festive beers available for purchase. The Day's Program
Today, since our speaker had to cancel at the last minute, the Club conducted some club business regarding the nominating committee. Eric Ephraim, as President-Elect oversees the nominating committee which includes Phil Lazarus and Rhoda Pierce as the two members asked by Karen Dennis to serve. In accordance with the bylaws, the membership voted for two more representatives on the committee. The members elected at the meeting were Sheri Hammond and Paul Clements. Sheri and Paul, Phil and Rhoda will now meet with Eric and will have a slate for us to vote on very soon.
