The Day's Program
Mary Beth Bretzlauf gave a short presentation on the Amazon Smile program. Amazon Smile is a fundraising website from Amazon. When you enter smile.amazon.com onto your browser, you are able to select a charitable organization that you wish to support. Our Club is one of them.
You use the same Amazon account. Now when you shop on the smile.amazon.com website, you are notified (above the product description) whether the product is eligible for donations from Amazon. When you make a purchase on this website, 0.5% is is donated to the charitable organization you selected. It's easy and automatic. However, you must use a browser - the program does not work with the Amazon App, Amazon Dash or Echo, Kindle Store and Fire TV. Subscriptions, subscription renewals and returned items are not eligible. Now that you know that, please invite your family and friends to support our club through this medium. If you have questions, please contact Mary Beth at 847-432-1500.

Jeff Colman gave an update on the plans for TABU 2020. It is later this year - April 8th to April 17th.Some planned events are a tour of Northwestern and RI, the Holocaust Museum, and a Chicago Bus Tour among them. Please contact Jeff if you'd like to help. Ghida suggested a team building exercise through the HPPD at Heller.

Len Tenner gave an update on Feed My Starving Children with the Interact Club. Three generations of Tenners were involved. It was a great turnout and the group put together 114 cases of food in an hour! The Interact Board will be going to the RI convention in Hawaii this coming June. It is being made possible by a grant from Rohan's foundation. Len will be meeting with the Interact Sponsors to discuss the upcoming year.

District 6440 have some really cool shirts available for the convention.Curious? Ask Len Tenner.

Ghida Neukirch gave the Club an update on the status of the HPCC and catering. Catering by Design did not submit a bid. Catering by Michaels will be managing all facets of catering at HPCC.

Paul Munk said the club is still in discussions with caterers and venues for our meetings. Jon Levey will be looking into a couple possibilities as well. January 6th meeting will be held at MYA - 878 Lyster in Fort Sheridan.

Please note: I want to thank Diana and Len for providing pictures of the party and Interact event. I was not able to load them onto the website on either computer that I use. The tech gurus were stymied as well. As soon as I can work around it, I will post those pictures.
Thank you,
Mary Beth
